About the School

A Nursery and Primary school rooted in Gulu, built on love and understanding.

UNIFAT Primary School is a Nursery and Primary institution located on Airfield Road, Gulu City, offering structured early-years and primary education to children in the surrounding community. The school was founded with the aim of giving every child a caring, disciplined start to their education, guided by the motto Learning For Love and Understanding.

Over the years, UNIFAT has grown a reputation among Gulu families for combining academic foundations with pastoral care, encouraging pupils to grow in confidence, character and community spirit from Nursery through to Primary Seven.

Programs & Curriculum

UNIFAT offers Nursery and Primary education across four structured stages.

Each stage follows the Uganda national curriculum, paced to the developmental needs of the age group it serves.

Play-based learning that builds early literacy, numeracy and social skills before Primary One.

Lower Primary

Primary One – Three

Upper Primary

Primary Four – Seven

Full national curriculum subjects, examination preparation and Primary Leaving Examination readiness.

Admissions

UNIFAT admits pupils into Nursery and Primary classes at the start of each school term.

When can my child join UNIFAT?

Uganda runs three school terms per year, and UNIFAT accepts new admissions at the start of each term, subject to space in the relevant class.

What does the school require to apply?

Completed admission form (available at the school office)
Child's birth certificate or equivalent proof of age
Two passport-size photographs
Previous school report, where applicable

How do I apply?

Visit the school on Airfield Road, Gulu, or call ahead to arrange a visit
Collect and complete the admission form at the school office
Submit required documents to the head teacher's office
Confirm placement and term fees with the school administration

Leads UNIFAT's day-to-day academic and pastoral direction, working with class teachers to keep the school's Learning For Love and Understanding motto at the centre of daily school life.
